As a department of one, the instructor will teach across multiple science disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science. The 72-acre campus provides an authentic learning environment where science instruction can connect with real-world applications in agriculture, animal science, and natural resources. This is a full-time substitute assignment from December 2026 through May 2027. The permanent, full-time Science Instructor position for the 2027-2028 school year will be posted separately in Spring 2027. Requirements Licensure through the Ohio State Board of Education covering Science for Grades 10

• 12 (Integrated Science (132010) and/or Comprehensive Science (130000) licenses strongly preferred); Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member; Computer expertise appropriate to the position; Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills; State-issued identification card with photograph; History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy Join Butler Tech as a Substitute High School Science Instructor and inspire the next generation of scientists!
