Taekwondo Instructor / Master Instructor — Part-Time or Full-Time Yeremyans taekwondo club Glendale, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Martial arts class instruction English Martial arts coaching experience Taekwondo Armenian Teaching Camp experience Full Job Description Overview Yeremyan's Taekwondo Club is seeking an energetic, dependable, and experienced Taekwondo Instructor or Master Instructor to join our growing team in Glendale, California. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and availability. Led by Olympian and European Champion Master Arman Yeremyan, our academy is committed to providing high-quality Taekwondo instruction while helping children and teens develop confidence, discipline, respect, leadership, and lifelong skills. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, brings strong energy to every class, communicates professionally with families, and takes pride in maintaining excellent teaching and safety standards. Experienced candidates may also be considered for leadership responsibilities, including instructor development, curriculum oversight, belt testing, and program management. Responsibilities Lead energetic, safe, structured, and age-appropriate Taekwondo classes Oversee curriculum implementation across all belt levels and programs Train, supervise, and evaluate instructors and assistant instructors Maintain consistent standards for forms, kicking, sparring, discipline, and safety Prepare lesson plans, testing requirements, and instructor assignments Monitor student progress, attendance, retention, and readiness for promotion Provide instructors with regular feedback, coaching, and accountability Communicate professionally with students and parents Support trial students and help new families feel welcomed Assist with competition-team development, belt testing, tournaments, camps, and special events Ensure classes begin on time and the training floor remains organized and professional Help academy leadership improve programs, systems, and student experiences Qualifications Advanced Taekwondo black belt required; Kukkiwon certification At least three years of martial arts teaching experience Previous experience leading instructors or managing a martial arts program strongly preferred Strong knowledge of forms, kicking technique, sparring, belt testing, and class management Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Professional, dependable, punctual, energetic, and accountable Experience teaching children ages 4-17 Competition coaching experience is a strong plus English fluency required; Armenian and/or Russian is a strong plus CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Selected candidate must successfully complete a background check
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
