Job Description
Position Overview OCMA Martial Arts is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is passionate about martial arts, and can create a positive, structured, and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, discipline, focus, and physical skills. Responsibilities Teach martial arts classes to children and students of varying ages and skill levels. Lead classes in a safe, energetic, and engaging manner. Demonstrate and teach martial arts techniques, forms, drills, and physical exercises. Maintain appropriate classroom structure, discipline, and student engagement. Encourage students to develop confidence, respect, focus, perseverance, and self-discipline. Provide positive feedback and motivation to students throughout each class. Monitor students' progress and communicate appropriately with parents regarding development and class participation. Assist with belt testing, special events, demonstrations, camps, and other academy activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment. Follow OCMA Martial Arts teaching methods, policies, and safety procedures. Represent OCMA Martial Arts professionally and positively when interacting with students, parents, and coworkers. Assist with opening, closing, and general studio responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Previous martial arts training and experience preferred. Previous experience working with children is strongly preferred. Ability to confidently lead a group of children in a structured environment. Energetic, patient, dependable, and positive personality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to demonstrate basic martial arts movements and physical activities. Must be comfortable working with young children and parents. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
