The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and has experience in teaching children (elementary and middle school), enjoys working with players of different ages and abilities, and is committed to creating a welcoming and professional experience for our members and guests.

Reports to:

Director of Pickleball Responsibilities Prepare and teach private, semi-private, and group pickleball lessons, must be comfortable teaching kids Develop engaging and quality lesson plans appropriate for each group's age, experience, and skill level Provide clear, encouraging, and constructive player feedback Coordinate and supervise club-organized open plays and other pickleball programs Help organize and facilitate member socials, tournaments, and special events Build positive relationships with members, guests, and fellow team members Communicate scheduling, attendance, and player needs with the Director of Pickleball Assist with Pro Shop shifts when needed Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming court environment Represent The Yards in a friendly and professional manner Requirements Must hold a current pickleball instructor certification from PPR, IPTPA, IPF, or PCI Must have at least two years of experience teaching pickleball Must have experience teaching children and beginner-level players Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills Ability to lead groups confidently and work independently Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented Willingness to assist with club programs, events, and Pro Shop operations Ability to work a flexible schedule based on programming needs, including some evenings and weekends Must be at least 21 years old Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching intermediate, advanced, or tournament-level players Experience coordinating leagues, open plays, camps, or special events Previous experience working at a pickleball, tennis, fitness, recreation, or private-club facility Familiarity with CourtReserve or similar reservation software Physical requirements Ability to stand, move, demonstrate pickleball techniques, and remain active for extended periods Ability to work in a outdoor and covered outdoor court environment Ability to lift and carry instructional equipment, balls, and supplies as needed If you are an enthusiastic and experienced certified instructor who enjoys helping players improve while creating a positive on-court experience, we would love to hear from you.
