GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Southern Wesleyan University's College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in
Social Science:
Psychology, Human Services and Sociology (on campus and possibly online undergraduate). The focus of the Social Sciences Division at Southern Wesleyan University is on understanding individual and corporate human experience and behavior across a variety of cultural-historical contexts and applying that understanding to enhancing human experience and performance. To that end, the mission of the Social Sciences Division is to challenge and enable students to develop their skills and talents to effectively process, analyze, and synthesize a wide variety of information within the context of a Christian worldview. Students and faculty are called to apply these skills and talents to better understand and to more effectively serve God and creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Courses will be taught in the on-campus undergraduate program on SWU's main campus in Central, South Carolina and or in the online Psychology and Sociology programs Participate in curriculum development for the programs Engage in program development, student learning outcomes assessment. Demonstrate servant-leadership by engaging in service activities within the university and the larger community.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Academic. A master's degree or earned doctorate in an area of Psychology, Sociology, Human Services or closely related field. The entry level of the candidate will be determined by terminal degree, qualifications and experience. Mission and Lifestyle Expectations.
