This full-time contract role offers a chance to work closely with students who have mild to moderate needs, providing instructional guidance and individualized support in a dynamic educational environment. With a manageable caseload of 28 or fewer students, educators can focus on impactful teaching and personalized student growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching credential for California Experience working with mild to moderate special needs populations preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom setting Comfort with on-site teaching; openness to VOCO (virtual/online instruction) a plus Ability to develop and implement tailored IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary Special Education Teacher for a caseload of up to 28 students Design and implement lesson plans that accommodate individualized needs Conduct thorough assessments to guide instruction and monitor progress Create a positive classroom culture that encourages academic and social-emotional growth Consult regularly with parents, specialists, and general education staff Maintain compliance documentation and participate in IEP meetings
