Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting elementary students as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aid for the remainder of the school year through June 11th, 2027. Multiple full-time opportunities are available, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact at a welcoming elementary school in the Mill Valley area. You'll have the opportunity to support young learners, working either with Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students, or students in grades 1 through 5, in a General Education setting.
What You Bring:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aid in a school setting is highly valued. Comfort and willingness to assist with toileting/diapering for younger students. Ability to compassionately support students' learning, emotional well-being, and independence. Readiness to complete required paraprofessional training before assignment start. Dependable transportation—please consider commute logistics and toll expenses, as local travel may involve a bridge crossing. Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group support in classrooms under the guidance of a certified teacher. Assist with a range of daily activities, from academics to social skills development. Support classroom routines including helping students with personal care needs where necessary. Foster a nurturing, respectful, and safe environment for all students. Engage with teachers and staff as a collaborative member of the school team.
