Special Education Certification Full Job Description Special Education Teacher Hourly Rate:

$45.00 - $58.00 per hour

Millbrae, California; Onsite Position Summary As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized academic and behavioral instruction to elementary-aged students within a school-based setting in accordance with student IEPs and state educational standards. This role collaborates closely with principals, general education teachers, related service providers, school psychologists, parents, paraprofessionals, and district personnel to support student success within the least restrictive environment. The Special Education Teacher will support student growth through individualized instruction, progress monitoring, and effective classroom management practices. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift Shift details: School-day schedule, Monday-Friday Hours per week: Full time Contract length: School year assignment Key Duties Provide direct instruction aligned with student IEPs and state educational standards Conduct academic evaluations and develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and school staff to support student success Maintain accurate documentation and records regarding student progress and services provided Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, goals, and educational programming Create and maintain an engaging and supportive classroom learning environment Provide guidance and oversight to instructional assistants and support staff Participate in trainings, department meetings, IEP meetings, and additional duties as assigned Support behavioral interventions, accommodations, and instructional strategies for diverse student needs

Requirements Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field

Preferred:

Master's Degree in

Special Education Licenses & Certifications Required:

State Special Education Teacher Certification with appropriate endorsement

Required:
