Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification/licensure for Colorado (or eligibility to obtain) Experience with moderate to severe disabilities (e.g., Down syndrome, non-verbal autism) Familiarity with AAC devices and alternative communication supports Skilled in collaborating with paraprofessionals and related service staff
Responsibilities:
Create and implement individualized instructional plans for a small-group classroom (6 students) Support self-care routines and functional skill development Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and school social workers on push-in and pull-out services Foster a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment
