This contract opportunity focuses on providing high-quality education and support for PreK through 3rd grade students in a dedicated environment. You'll collaborate with a strong support team, including 1:1 paraeducators, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and ongoing BCBA guidance. The classroom uses discrete trial instruction to help each student achieve measurable growth.

Desired Qualifications:

Active Special Education Teacher Certification in Connecticut Experience teaching or supporting PreK-3rd grade students Background working in life skills or self-contained classrooms preferred Strong ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Comfortable collaborating with a diverse multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational skills

Your Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging instruction tailored to each students unique needs Collaborate daily with paraeducators, RBT, and BCBA for effective interventions Develop, implement, and track progress toward IEP goals Employ discrete trial teaching and other evidence-based practices Foster a supportive, structured, and positive classroom atmosphere Maintain timely documentation on student performance and behavior Communicate regularly with families, therapists, and related service providers
