Qualifications and Experience:

Active, valid Connecticut State Certificate in Special Education Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred Strong ability to collaborate with paraeducators and support staff Skilled in adapting instruction and materials for students with diverse learning needs Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and respectful classroom

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals Collaborate closely with paraeducator team to ensure effective classroom management and targeted student support Differentiate instruction to address a variety of learning abilities and styles Communicate with families and other team members, providing progress updates and support strategies Maintain detailed records and adhere to all state and federal special education requirements Promote inclusion, encouraging students' academic, social, and emotional development
