Job Description

Located in Wilton, CT, a middle school is currently looking to hire part-time educators for ELA, Mathematics, and Social Studies for the 6th through 8th grades, with positions available to begin right away. This role is ideal for teaching professionals seeking impactful classroom engagement without the demands of a full-time schedule, and we encourage retired educators to apply. You will be tasked with creating and presenting dynamic, project-based curriculum, while weaving in essential literacy, communication, and analytical skills. Success in this role involves working alongside peers on cross-curricular initiatives and utilizing digital platforms like Google Classroom to boost student learning. It is vital that you maintain proactive family communication and foster a classroom environment that prioritizes curiosity, mutual respect, and creative academic growth.
Role Information:
Schedule is part-time, running from 8am to 12pm. Compensation is offered at a rate of up to $45 per hour. Immediate availability for the start date. Instructional focus on middle school levels, specifically grades 6-8. Core subjects include Mathematics, Social Studies, and ELA.
Qualifications:
At least two years of prior teaching experience is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in your specific subject area is required, with a preference for a Master's degree. Must hold or be eligible for a valid teaching license or certification. Deep expertise in your chosen subject matter. Help drive student success by delivering high-quality, project-based lessons. Must successfully complete and pass all mandatory background screening processes.
