This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love for learning. The position requires a minimum of 40 clock hours and is ideal for individuals committed to early childhood education and child welfare. Candidates should possess strong classroom management skills, experience working with children, and a background in curriculum development or special education. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and positive behavior management. Conduct assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and informal observations to tailor instructional strategies. Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized education plans (IEPs). Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons and maintaining discipline. Foster communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Incorporate age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, and social growth in toddlers and preschoolers. Maintain accurate documentation of student attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with childcare regulations. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Experience with curriculum development across various educational domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Background in special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs of preschool-aged children. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment. Childcare experience including toddler care, daycare settings, or private school environments. Knowledge of child welfare practices ensuring safety and well-being in the classroom environment.
