Category Schools - Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist Job Type Contract Empower a high school student near Ashburn, GA, by providing specialized support as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) specialist on a contract basis for the 26/27 school year. This opportunity focuses on making a meaningful impact through personalized services delivered virtually. Your expertise will directly help a single high school student succeed academically and communicate with confidence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH Specialist) Experience working with high school students with hearing impairments Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in a virtual learning environment Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting instruction to student needs Comfortable using technology to deliver engaging, effective remote instruction
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to one high school student (10 hours per week) Develop individualized lesson plans and resources tailored to the student's unique learning and communication needs Collaborate with school staff and family members to monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary Support the student's academic goals and promote self-advocacy skills Maintain accurate documentation and communication within school guidelines This position is fully approved for virtual services, allowing you to provide essential support from a location that works for you while maintaining a flexible weekly schedule.
