Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a vibrant educational setting! This full-time, contract-based role offers the chance to support students' learning journeys through virtual instruction, serving students in need from the comfort of your office or home. Based in Georgia, this position runs through May 2027, with potential pre- and post-planning days designed for seamless service delivery. In this important role, you'll collaborate closely with school staff and families, communicate regularly regarding student progress, and complete essential service documentation. During the interview, you will be able to discuss your preferences for specific age groups or experience levels, ensuring an ideal fit for both you and the students. What we're looking for: Current Georgia Educator Certification specific to Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience delivering virtual TVI services within school settings Ability to maintain accurate, timely daily service logs as required for accountability Flexibility and adaptability, with readiness to discuss optimal caseload placement based on your experience and the district's needs Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit Key responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality virtual instruction and individualized support to students with visual impairments Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating on student progress with other educators and family members Maintaining meticulous documentation of sessions and student outcomes Engaging actively with school personnel to align services to student needs Enjoy a consistent schedule working at least 37.5 hours each week.
