This contract, part-time opportunity calls for a compassionate and qualified TVI to provide specialized services for students with visual impairments. You'll work just 4 hours per week, allowing you to focus on quality instruction and individualized support while maintaining the flexibility to balance your professional and personal commitments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working in a school environment supporting students with visual impairments Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students Creative problem-solver, adaptable to the unique needs of each student Commitment to fostering students' independence and confidence

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative services for students with visual impairments Adapt instructional materials, and collaborate with general education staff Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of IEPs Offer guidance and training to staff and families, ensuring continuity of support Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to promote skill development Advocate for accessible educational experiences and inclusion in school activities
