You'll provide focused, virtual support to a high school student, ensuring their unique learning needs are met effectively throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher Demonstrated experience working with high school-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing Proficiency in implementing individualized support plans and educational modifications Familiarity with virtual service delivery and related technologies Strong communication skills, both with students and multidisciplinary teams Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and service providers to optimize learning Compassionate approach and commitment to fostering student success and independence
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual sessions for approximately 10 hours per week, offering direct instruction and support Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to suit the student's needs Monitor and document progress, modifying approaches as necessary Maintain open, ongoing communication with school staff and the student's family Serve as an advocate, ensuring the student receives the services and accommodations outlined in their educational plan Provide expertise and consultation on best practices in DHH education within the virtual school setting This fully remote position blends flexibility with the chance to make a meaningful, individualized impact.
