Developmental Specialist (Special Instructor)

Job Description

The Parent Child Development Center Wahiawa is seeking to hire early intervention Special Instructors/Developmental Specialists with a degree in early childhood and special education, to join our multidisciplinary team providing face-to-face services to developmentally delayed infants and toddlers in the home/community setting. The Special Instructors/Developmental Specialists will support family as a Primary Service Provider or Consultant by coaching families to better support their children in all areas of development. Duties include, but not limited to conducting evaluations writing reports assisting with the development of Individual Family Support Plans collaborating and supporting other team members providing consultation to other early interventionists conducting home visits; attending family support meetings documenting services
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood/Child Development or Elementary with a focus on Early Childhood or Special Education Bachelor's or Master's degree AND Licensed by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board with two years experience in Early Childhood or, has a 5th Year Teaching Certification with a focus on Early Childhood or Special Education. (Experience with Infants, Toddlers, Special Education Highly Preferred) Other requirements include, but not limited to: Daily access to reliable transportation and proof of insurance Driver's license Provide in-person services and attend virtual sessions/meetings. •The Parent Child Development Center Wahiawa is contracted by the State of Hawaii Department of Health/Early Intervention Section to provide services to the Wahiawa and North Shore Communities".
