In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, implement individualized instruction, and foster a positive classroom environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and more, ensuring they reach their full potential. Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Utilize educational technology and learning tools to enhance instruction and engagement. Implement instructional modifications and accommodations for students with disabilities or special needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, or visual impairments. Conduct assessments, standardized testing, and progress monitoring to evaluate student achievement and inform instructional strategies. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies for students with behavioral health or behavioral health needs. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and educational goals through conferences and written reports. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), and compliance documentation in accordance with educational regulations. Experience Proven classroom experience in early childhood education, preschool settings, or elementary grades. Demonstrated expertise in special education practices, including working with students with disabilities or developmental delays. Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy (including applied behavior analysis), music therapy, or recreational therapy is a plus. Familiarity with instructional design principles, curriculum development, and educational compliance laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). Experience integrating educational technology tools for literacy education, math instruction, or early intervention programs. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff. Ability to manage classroom environments efficiently while employing positive behavior management strategies for diverse learners.
