Hayden, ID About Bright Stars Children's Center Bright Stars Children's Center is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop. We are looking for a caring and dependable Waddler Teacher to join our team and help provide high-quality care for our young toddlers. Position Summary As a Waddler Teacher , you will be responsible for providing attentive care, supervision, and age-appropriate learning experiences for children who are beginning to walk and explore their environment. The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, energetic, and passionate about working with young children. You should be comfortable supporting children's developmental needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment. Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsive care to young toddlers throughout the day Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development Encourage early language, movement, sensory, and social skills through play and daily activities Follow established classroom routines and center policies Assist children with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and other daily care needs Maintain accurate daily records, including attendance, meals, diaper changes, and activities as required Communicate professionally and regularly with parents and guardians about their child's day Observe and respond appropriately to each child's individual needs and developmental milestones Work cooperatively with other teachers and center staff Maintain appropriate supervision and follow all health and safety regulations Participate in cleaning and sanitizing classroom materials and areas Attend staff meetings and required training Qualifications Previous experience working with toddlers or young children is not required but a plus point A genuine love for working with children Patient, nurturing, and dependable personality Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude Must be able to pass required background checks and meet applicable employment requirements CPR/First Aid certification is a plus Childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a passion for working with young children.
