Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education (or eligibility for certification) Experience teaching elementary school-aged children, preferably in special education settings Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Familiarity with a range of disabilities and ability to adapt instruction accordingly Commitment to collaboration with other educators, specialists, and families Excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver instructional lessons tailored to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals Manage classroom activities and interventions for students with varying learning and behavioral needs Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusion Assess student progress, adjust teaching strategies as needed, and maintain accurate records Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and program updates Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development Take the opportunity to help students reach their full potential in a supportive and enriching environment.
