Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with exceptional needs for the 2024-2025 school year. Two full-time special education teaching positions are available, both spanning August 10th through May 26th and offering a 37.5-hour workweek, based near Deputy, IN.
Position Options:
Special Preschool/Learning Disabilities Teacher Support preschoolers and elementary students as an inclusion teacher. Mornings are dedicated to preschoolers (PK) Tuesday through Friday, while afternoons focus on elementary students with learning disabilities, Monday through Friday (Mondays include a full day with both groups). Indiana certification in any Exceptional Needs area suitable for preschool settings is required. Intense Intervention Teacher Provide life-changing support as a self-contained teacher for students with significant medical needs and minimal behavioral challenges at the high school level. This position requires current Indiana certification in Intense Intervention.
What You'll Bring:
Valid Indiana state certification relevant to either Exceptional Needs (Preschool) or Intense Intervention, depending on your interest Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered educational practices Adaptability to work across grade levels or with high medical need populations Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Organization and documentation proficiency
Responsibilities:
