Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Grade 6 Teacher to inspire and guide students through a pivotal stage of their educational journey. Duties Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Utilize various instructional strategies and educational technology to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to student success. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and school-wide initiatives to enhance educational quality. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written reports. Mentor students in extracurricular activities such as sports coaching or creative writing clubs to foster well-rounded development. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioral incidents in compliance with educational regulations. Participate in professional development opportunities focused on literacy education, educational compliance, instructional technology integration, and childhood development. Qualifications Proven experience teaching students with a strong background in classroom management and curriculum implementation. Demonstrated expertise in core subjects including Math (Algebra), Science, (including physical education), and Language Arts (creative writing, proofreading). Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools to measure academic progress effectively. Knowledge of diverse learning styles, special education strategies, and working with students from various cultural backgrounds. Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher interactions and public speaking engagements. Ability to adapt lessons for different learning needs using instructional modifications and learning technology tools. Experience working with children with special education needs or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom responsibilities management, and educational administration tasks. Pay:
$45,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
