This full-time, on-site contract position is ideal for a passionate professional ready to collaborate with a supportive school environment and provide specialized instruction that empowers students to thrive academically and personally. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Prior experience in pediatric or 1:1 educational settings preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to design and implement tailored instructional strategies for visually impaired students Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support based on the students unique needs and educational plan Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to develop effective learning goals and accommodations Create accessible classroom materials using Braille, large print, or assistive technology Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly Advocate for student independence and self-advocacy skills Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and best practices regarding special education Travel candidates will find satisfaction in the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, benefit from health and dental insurance, and enjoy a company-matched 401(k).
