9659430-41653 Job Description A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to provide telehealth services to students in need of specialized instruction. This role focuses on delivering educational support to two highly functional students through virtual platforms, requiring expertise in teaching visually impaired learners.
Location:
Prestonsburg, KY (Telehealth)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instructional sessions to visually impaired students using telehealth technology. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on visual impairment needs. Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to enhance learning outcomes. Collaborate remotely with families, educational staff, and related service providers. Maintain accurate records and compliance with educational standards for students with visual impairments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required. Proven experience teaching students with visual impairments, preferably in telehealth settings. Strong understanding of visual impairment adaptations and assistive technologies. Excellent communication skills for remote instruction and collaboration. Ability to manage and deliver 8 hours per week of specialized instruction. This role offers the chance to support students educational growth through flexible telehealth methods while working on a focused, part-time contract basis.
