Key Qualifications:

Valid Kentucky certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Proficiency in providing tailored instruction and adaptation for students with visual impairments Experience collaborating with educators, support staff, and families Ability to participate actively in IEP/Admission and Release Committee (ARC) meetings Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to Kentuckys professional code of ethics

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with visual impairments to support their access to the curriculum and promote independence Develop and implement lesson plans in alignment with IEP goals and state standards Adapt instructional materials and environments as needed for accessibility Participate in IEP/ARC meetings, contributing expertise and collaborating with other educators and service providers Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Stay up to date with best practices, resources, and training relevant to visual impairment education This role is full-time for the duration of the school year, offering the chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of students who need your specialized knowledge and support.
