Our new building should be ready in a few short months!• Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Afternoon One Year Old Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our youngest learners. As a key member of our classroom, you will foster developmentally appropriate activities, ensure child safety, and build positive relationships with children and their families. Your passion for early childhood education and experience working with toddlers will help create a joyful, supportive space where children can thrive and explore. Duties Supervise and care for one-year-old children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development in line with early childhood education standards Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns using clear and compassionate language Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in accordance with best practices in special education Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs while maintaining hygiene standards Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is essential Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is highly valued Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to nurture positive behavior management strategies Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Ability to follow safety protocols diligently, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines Passion for caregiving, teaching young children, and fostering a supportive learning environment Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children!
