Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students across Massachusetts as a Special Education Teacher! This dynamic contract opportunity offers the chance to work with diverse caseloads spanning K-12 and various classroom settings, providing meaningful support to students with unique learning needs. Your expertise and compassion will help guide learners toward success in school and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Massachusetts Special Education License (required) Previous experience supporting students with diverse abilities, preferably in a K-12 setting Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to meet individual student needs within a range of classroom types Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct instruction and collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place Assess student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development as required
