Duties Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and hands-on laboratory activities. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and promote active student participation. Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning. Support administrative duties such as grading assignments, proofreading instructional materials, and maintaining accurate student records. Provide general assistance within the school, substituting for other teachers when absent, tidying, general administering and support. Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and standardized testing preparations. Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, fostering their scientific curiosity and critical thinking skills. Support the integration of IT tools into lessons to enhance interactive learning experiences. Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development workshops focused on educational technology integration and curriculum implementation. Skills Strong knowledge of science disciplines including biology (cell biology, microbiology, genetics), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (trigonometry, geometry, calculus), and mathematics (algebra, discrete math). Proven experience in classroom management and teaching science to middle school or high school students. Skilled in curriculum development, instructional design, and implementing educational standards effectively. Familiarity with laboratory research techniques such as dissection, microbiology procedures, and molecular biology experiments. Proficiency in integrating learning technology and digital resources into lesson plans for enhanced student engagement. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Experience working with students from various cultural backgrounds and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Knowledge of educational compliance regulations, standardized testing procedures, and special education accommodations. Demonstrated ability to mentor students academically and behaviorally while fostering a supportive classroom environment. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, research activities, and administrative responsibilities related to education administration.
