Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution; Master's in Special Education preferred Valid Massachusetts DESE certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Vision Impairment license) SEI Endorsement required Deep understanding of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC), covering compensatory/access skills, assistive technology, and collaboration with Orientation & Mobility (O&M) professionals Proficiency in Braille, large print, tactile graphics, and low-vision devices strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative services for visually impaired students across three school sites Conduct Functional Vision Assessments (FVAs), Learning Media Assessments (LMAs), and vision-specific evaluations Contribute to IEP development and informed service delivery Work collaboratively with educational teams and families
