Special Education Teacher (Long Term Substitute) - Rochester Memorial School Old Rochester Regional School District/MA Supt. #55 Rochester, MA Job Details Full-time $130 - $334 a day 11 hours ago Qualifications Student emotional support Referral services for crisis intervention support Family collaboration in education Faculty collaboration Classroom conflict resolution techniques Positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) in classroom management Mid-level Classroom behavior modification Experience working with 5th graders Parent communication in school administration Working with students with special education needs Student referral services in school social work School counseling services facilitation Full Job Description Old Rochester Regional School District is seeking an innovative & collaborative Special Education 5th Grade Teacher (Long Term Substitute) at Rochester Memorial School, in Rochester, MA to cover a leave of absence starting on approximately October 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct service and consultation for studentsUse a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling, planning or decision makingProvide classroom and small group instructionProvide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agenciesMediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning processProvide consultation to staff regarding student difficulty in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plansServe as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral, social, emotional matters which may have significance for students programCollaborate with teachers, administrators and parentsAll other duties assigned by the principalThe mission of our school system is to inspire all students to think, to learn and to care.
