Requirements:
Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for certification Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred Previous experience teaching or supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to tailor instruction to meet individual student needs Willingness to collaborate with teaching staff, support personnel, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting curriculum as necessary Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress toward goals Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, audiologists, and interpreters to foster a fully accessible learning environment Offer resources, strategies, and professional guidance to colleagues and parents Promote self-advocacy, communication skills, and independence among students Attend and contribute to meetings and professional development opportunities as required This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a supportive, forward-thinking school community committed to every student's success.
