Qualifications:

Valid Maine Department of Education State Licensure (282 certification preferred; conditional considered) Current CHRC (Maine DOE background check clearance) Experience working with students in special education settings a plus Passion for supporting students instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional growth Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to learners individualized education plans (IEPs) within adaptive life skills classrooms Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to maximize student growth Manage data collection and maintain accurate progress documentation Support students in mastering daily living skills and appropriate classroom behaviors Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing meaningful learning objectives
