Ideally we would like at least Tier 2 license, but are willing to consider Tier 1 if they have experience in this type of setting.

Role Overview We are hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacher (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) to deliver specially designed instruction, manage IEPs, and support students with DCD in an inclusive, structured elementary setting. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based, differentiated lessons aligned to student IEP goals and Minnesota academic standards. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs; complete required special education documentation and due-process tasks. Assess academic and behavioral progress; use data to adjust instruction and interventions. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraeducators, related-service providers, administrators, and families. Provide classroom behavior supports and direct paraeducators/volunteers as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field. Valid Minnesota teaching license for Special Education; DCD licensure preferred (or proof of pending approved licensure). Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and special education due process. Experience differentiating instruction and managing behavior for students with diverse learning needs. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills; ability to lead paraeducators effectively. Preferred Prior elementary DCD or moderate-severe special education teaching experience. Familiarity with district curriculum resources, instructional technology, and data-driven decision-making. #teacher
Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour Application Question(s): We are looking for someone who is willing to work in a DCD center-based classroom with kinder & 1st grade students with pretty significant needs (toileting, non-verbal, mostly 1:1 para support). Ideally we would like at least Tier 2 license, but are willing to consider Tier 1 if they have experience in this type of setting. Full time contract - The hours are 8:00-4:00.
