Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Lead Teacher for our "Toddlers" class to join our team. The ideal candidate loves working with toddlers, nurtures our youngest learners in a warm, play based environment, encourages discovery through play, and fosters each child's independence and confidence. Duties Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for toddlers 12-36 months Support daily routines: feeding, diapering, napping, and soothing to promote secure attachments Plan age appropriate activities like sensory play, tummy time, and music to foster physical, cognitive, and social growth using tools like Creative Curriculum Maintain hygiene by sanitizing toys, changing areas, and following health protocols, including SIDS prevention Communicate daily with parents via updates on milestones, feeding and behaviors; conduct conferences as needed. Collaborate with assistants, directors, and staff to ensure smooth operations and professional development Support center policies, licensing regulations, and daily routines Skills Reliable, patient and professional presence Genuine love for children and early learning Strong classroom management abilities to maintain an effective learning environment. Familiarity with creative curriculum methods and toddler care principles. Excellent communication skills Experience working in daycare or private school settings is preferred. Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively. Minimum Qualifications (must be completed before hire): Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) OR Infant Toddler Care Certificate Preferred Qualifications (must be completed before hire) Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field. Must be able to provide copy of transcript before hire. Why join Love and Learning?
