Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity where you'll make a meaningful difference for students. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week and is designed for a dedicated educator passionate about providing supportive, individualized instruction within a collaborative educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Current state certification in Special Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Experience adapting and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Familiarity with various learning and behavioral strategies Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain detailed documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs Develop, review, and maintain accurate IEPs in collaboration with parents, staff, and service providers Monitor student progress, assess educational outcomes, and adjust teaching methods as needed Foster a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages academic and social-emotional growth Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student success Engage families and caregivers as valuable partners in the educational process Remain current on best practices and professional development in the field of Special Education You'll be joining an educational community that values compassion, creativity, and commitment to every student's success.
