Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time, temporary position as an Elementary Special Education Teacher, providing essential support to elementary students in an onsite school environment. This contract assignment extends from ASAP through December 2026, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year while working closely with students, families, and school staff.
Qualifications:
Possess a valid state teaching certification/licensure in Special Education Previous experience in elementary special education preferred Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Proficient in participating in and conducting IEP meetings Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively with educators, families, and related service providers Available to work onsite, Monday through Friday Reliable organizational skills with attention to compliance and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to elementary students with disabilities Manage all aspects of the IEP process, including creation, updates, progress monitoring, and documentation Lead and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring student needs are voiced and addressed appropriately Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and related service staff to foster a supportive environment Track student progress and tailor instructional strategies to individual learning needs Maintain meticulous records, ensuring adherence to special education policies and legal requirements Provide consistent, compassionate support to students throughout the duration of the assignment Take the next step in your special education career by supporting students and families in a vibrant classroom setting.
