Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a full-time, onsite Special Education Teacher. This temporary contract runs from ASAP through December 2026, ideal for compassionate, organized educators who thrive in collaborative environments. Your expertise and commitment will help ensure each student receives tailored instruction and support to achieve their fullest potential. Key Qualifications Active state certification or licensure in Special Education Prior experience in elementary special education settings preferred Demonstrated skill in developing, updating, and managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Comfortable conducting and participating in IEP meetings Strong communication abilities with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Committed to working onsite, Monday through Friday Primary Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students with diverse learning needs Develop, update, and maintain IEPs in compliance with regulations Lead and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with families and support staff Regularly assess and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed Maintain accurate records and ensure all special education requirements are met Foster student growth and independence in a supportive classroom environment throughout the duration of the assignment This position offers a meaningful chance to make a direct impact on students' school experiences, while working alongside a motivated team of educators and support professionals.
