Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory Experience providing 1:1 instructional support, especially with pediatric populations Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, school staff, and related service providers Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized 1:1 instruction to a visually impaired pediatric student according to their Individualized Education Program (IEP) Modify curriculum materials and classroom activities to ensure accessibility and engagement Utilize adaptive technology and assistive devices to enhance learning outcomes Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to support the students academic and functional progress Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate progress documentation
