Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated LLD (Language, Learning, and Development) Teacher for Grades K-2 to join our vibrant educational community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners, support their developmental milestones, and foster a love for learning through innovative teaching methods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, special education, and working with students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental levels of K-2 students, incorporating literacy, math, communication skills, and social-emotional learning. Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet individual student needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, or other special needs. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to design and execute effective IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals and accommodations. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and support differentiated instruction. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and observational data; adjust instruction accordingly. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques suitable for students with behavioral health challenges or neurodevelopmental disorders. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior management strategies, and intervention plans. Ensure compliance with special education law and educational standards while providing a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes early childhood development. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Speech Therapy or related field; advanced certifications preferred. Valid teaching license or certification for elementary education (K-2) with specialization in special education or early childhood education. Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings, including those with disabilities or developmental delays. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education strategies, math instruction, and behavioral therapy techniques. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation as well as understanding of special education law requirements. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external specialists. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering an inclusive learning environment. Experience integrating educational technology into lesson planning and delivery. Demonstrated commitment to supporting students with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or speech delays.
