Qualifications:

Active New Mexico Special Education Teacher license required Experience with early childhood (Pre-K) special education desired Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Ability to adapt instruction for a range of student abilities and backgrounds Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in both resource and inclusive Pre-K classrooms Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each childs unique strengths and needs Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere to support growth and independence Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation This contract position is available immediately and continues through May 27, 2026. Youll work mornings (7:30 AM - 12:00 PM) Monday through Thursday, giving you time for personal commitments and flexibility during the week. Compensation for this W2 contract is competitive, ranging from $36 to $40 per hour.
