RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students receiving special education services. Reinforce instructional concepts and implement IEP accommodations and modifications as directed by the special education teacher. Support students across general education, resource room, and specialized classroom settings . Assist with implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and positive behavior supports. Monitor and supervise students to ensure safety, engagement, and appropriate behavior throughout the school day. Provide assistance with personal care needs , including toileting, feeding, and mobility, when required. Utilize de-escalation and crisis-intervention strategies while following established school protocols. Reinforce appropriate social skills, communication, and self-regulation techniques . Collaborate effectively with special education teachers, general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and other school staff . Collect and report academic and behavioral data , maintain student confidentiality, and follow all district policies and special education requirements.
