Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of high school students as an Ohio Intervention Specialist. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to shape educational journeys and foster lasting growth for learners in a supportive school community just outside Middlefield, Ohio. Youll utilize your expertise in special education to empower students, tailoring individualized education plans and providing essential academic and emotional support. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching certification (required) Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Experience developing and modifying IEPs for high school students Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational teams Ability to creatively adapt instruction to a variety of learning styles Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive environments
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a high school caseload of students with diverse learning needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and families Deliver differentiated instruction that meets all learners needs Monitor progress, modify strategies, and document student growth Encourage student independence, self-advocacy, and social skills Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
