Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification Experience or familiarity teaching students in grades 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and families Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation effectively Commitment to cultivating an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver tailored lesson plans aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) for middle and high school students Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure consistent student progress Monitor and assess student performance, adjusting interventions as needed Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student milestones and concerns Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and required documentation Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages student engagement This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of students, providing meaningful support both academically and personally.
