9662623-97502 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting students with visual impairments by serving communities across Southern Oregon! This contract position is ideal for dedicated educators passionate about advancing access and achievement for K-12 learners. Youll collaborate with school teams and families across Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake counties, providing support either in-person or virtually to best meet student needs. The assignment extends from December 7, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 30-32 hours.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Oregon Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/licensure required Experience supporting K-12 students in inclusive or specialized settings Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams Comfort with both in-person and virtual (VOCO) instruction Flexibility to travel within service-area counties as needed Commitment to fostering independence, accessibility, and academic growth

What Youll Do:

Design and deliver individualized lessons and modifications to support access to curriculum Conduct functional vision assessments and contribute to IEP development Teach compensatory skills, Braille, assistive technology, and orientation/mobility as appropriate Consult with general and special education staff to maximize accessible learning environments Provide training and resources to staff and families Advocate for student needs and collaborate on transition planning Maintain ongoing documentation, progress monitoring, and timely reports In this rewarding contract assignment, youll help shape brighter futures for students with visual impairmentswhile enjoying the varied work settings, the supportive network, and flexibility of hybrid delivery.
