Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in beautiful Southern Oregon. This rewarding contract opportunity spans from December 7, 2026, through June 11, 2027, providing vital educational services to K-12 students across Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties. Choose between in-person instruction or virtual/VOCO settings, supporting diverse learners to help them reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current Oregon TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification or licensure is required Previous experience teaching or supporting visually impaired students in K-12 settings Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional materials for a range of visual abilities Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with school staff, families, and outside resources Comfortable utilizing technology or adaptive tools for accessible learning Organized and adept at managing caseloads across multiple school locations

Role Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments, both in-person and virtually, as assigned Assess student needs and adapt teaching strategies to support individualized educational goals Collaborate with general education teachers, special education professionals, and families to ensure inclusive access and accommodations Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and district guidelines Offer consultative services to staff regarding best practices and resources for visually impaired learners Maintain thorough documentation, scheduling, and communication regarding student progress Take your expertise on the roador onlinewhile making a measurable difference for students who need it most.
