9662623-97524 Job Description Make a meaningful difference for students by providing quality education and skilled support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This contract position offers the chance to work with K-12 learners across multiple counties in Southern Oregon, supporting their educational journeys either in-person or via virtual instruction. The assignment begins December 7, 2026 and continues through June 11, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 30-32 hours.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Oregon Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification or Licensure is required Experience working with students who are visually impaired, across K-12 grade levels Skilled in adaptive teaching methods, Braille instruction, and accessibility tools for visually impaired learners Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset Organized, reliable, and able to travel across designated counties if opting for in-person instruction

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and specialized support to K-12 students who are visually impaired Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to suit each students unique needs Collaborate with other educators, school staff, and families to promote student progress Maintain accurate records of student growth, services provided, and assessments Travel as needed to schools throughout Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties or deliver engaging virtual instruction
