Job Summary We are seeking a Special Education Teacher with experience in the Pyramid Model to work directly, hands-on, inside EV classrooms implementing the Pyramid Model for Promoting Social-Emotional Competence, with particular focus on classrooms serving children with IFSPs. This is a new role created to close the gap between county-funded inclusion support and the level of hands-on, in-classroom support EV's children and teaching teams need. Responsibilities Prioritize and sequence support according to EV's tiered rollout, beginning with classrooms with the highest concentration of children with IFSPs. Work directly with children with IFSPs in the classroom, implementing individualized strategies tied to specific Pyramid Model practices (universal, targeted, and intensive tiers). Track and document strategies used, classroom fidelity data, and child progress using EV's chosen log/fidelity tool. Communicate regularly with site directors and the Director of Programs on progress, emerging needs, and classrooms ready to graduate from active support. Participate in ongoing professional development related to the Pyramid Model and special education best practices. Model reflective, relationship-based practices consistent with EV's Reggio-inspired philosophy and PeaceMat restorative approach. Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable protocols related to children's IFSPs, IEPs, and other individualized plans. Skills & Qualifications Background as a Special Education teacher or early intervention specialist, with direct experience supporting young children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays. Working knowledge of

IFSP/IEP

processes and how individualized goals translate into classroom-level supports and accommodations for children ages 3-5. Trained or experienced in the Pyramid Model for Promoting Social-Emotional Competence, including its tiered framework (universal, targeted, intensive practices). Strong relational and communication skills, able to build trust with teaching teams, site directors, and outside specialists (OT, ABA, MECP) around sensitive, individualized information. Comfort with data collection and fidelity tracking tools to document strategies and progress. Experience in early childhood or early intervention settings specifically (preschool, Head Start, EI/ECSE, or similar) rather than elementary or K-12 special education. Alignment with reflective, relationship-based, restorative approaches to behavior support (consistent with EV's Reggio-inspired and PeaceMat philosophy) rather than compliance-driven behavior management.
