e2112-97301 Job Description Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired in a full-time, on-site capacity. Youll work one-on-one with a pediatric student, delivering personalized instruction and adaptive strategies to ensure an equal, accessible, and inclusive educational environment. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) is required Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (state licensure required) Proven experience working in school settings, particularly with visually impaired or blind students Comfortability and skill in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Ability to support and collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families for coordinated care Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Adaptable, patient, and compassionate approach to individualized instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to a visually impaired pediatric student in accordance with their IEP Assess student progress, adjusting methods and materials as needed Support inclusion by collaborating with school staff and ensuring accessibility throughout the campus environment Train and advise family members and staff on assistive technologies and resources Maintain meticulous records of student goals, modifications, and achievements Stay current with best practices in visual impairment education This role offers health and dental insurance, a company-matched 401(k), and a competitive weekly pay structure.
