Teacher of Visually Impaired - White City, OR

Job Description

Inspire and support K-12 students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in beautiful southern Oregon! This contracted opportunity runs from December 7, 2026 through June 11, 2027, offering 30-32 hours per week. Engage either in-person or through VOCO (virtual/online) instruction to meet the unique needs of students residing in the Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake County areas. Bring your expertise and compassion to help learners with visual impairments achieve their educational goals in a variety of school settings.
Qualifications:
Valid Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure required Experience supporting students with visual impairments in K-12 settings Strong communication and collaboration abilities Comfort with either in-person or virtual (VOCO) instructional formats Ability to travel within assigned counties if providing in-person services Commitment to maintaining student-centered, inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized instructional plans for students with visual impairments Provide direct teaching, consultation, and support to students and school staff Evaluate and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Collaborate with educational teams to ensure accessibility of curriculum, materials, and learning environments Conduct assessments related to visual functioning and learning needs Maintain documentation and case notes as required by school guidelines
