Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity making an impact in the field of Special Education! A contract position is available for passionate educators in the Bennettsville area, supporting students at the early childhood and elementary levels. This role begins ASAP and continues through May 27, 2027, offering you the chance to develop strong connections with your students and school community.
Role Highlights:
Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, working onsite at a local primary school. Serve as an Early Childhood PCD Teacher for 3-4-year-olds, or an ID Mild/Moderate Self-Contained Teacher for K-3 students, depending on your certification. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with a range of abilities. Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support individualized education plans and student growth. Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal documentation and reporting requirements.
Qualifications Sought:
BOTH Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification are required for the EC PCD Teacher assignment. Active South Carolina Teaching License is mandatory. SPED Multi-Categorical (Multi-Cat) endorsement required for the K-3 assignment. Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience or training working with self-contained or early childhood special education classrooms is preferred.
